Happy new year
2010 is here and so is a new version of NowPromote. This newsletter explains what is new, there are some exciting new features!

Email and Newsletters
Keeping in contact with your customers is made simply using NowPromote. Using NowPromote you can send newsletters to your customers. The newsletter is constructed from the articles on your website. For example it is a great way to broadcast changes to your timetables, costs, a new product, a new staff member etc.
If you do not already have access to the newsletter functionality, try it free for 1 month by email me. Cost is $10 per month extra.
NowPromote automatically checks your spelling each night. Any errors found are fixed by us without any work required by you. If you desire you can perform your own spell check by using the 'Spell Check' option on the main NowPromote screen. View Online...
Location, Location, Location
NowPromote allows you to associate your website with a geographical location. This means that your website can then be displayed on services like Google Maps. You can set your location so it identifies a street, or you can be more general so it identifies a suburb or city.
Your location is easily set in NowPromote based on your address. We will be doing this for everyone over the next week. You can update this yourself by using the new 'Location' option in the main NowPromote screen.
Refer a new customer who signs up to NowPromote and you get 1 month free when they sign up. Make sure they tell me you referred them. Or alternately, send me their contact details.
Google and other Search engines use very complex calculations to work out when to display your website to someone searching. Google does not tell anyone what rules it uses, but the following are generally accepted to be used by Google and other search engines.
Words Words Words - Google pays close attention to the words used in your website. it uses these to determine if your website is relevant to the search term. In particular the name of the page is important.
Location - Google presents different search results to depending where you are located in the world. If you search for a 'florist' in one city you will get different search results to another city.
Links to your website - Google takes notice of links to your website. These links act like a reputation. Now this does not mean you want any old links, they must be quality. Also, link exchanging does not help as google is looking for links to your website where you do not link back again.
If you have any problems, concerns or just have some ideas of what I can do better, please send me a quick email and I will look into it. I will also be contacting you in the next few months to discuss any issues you may be having with NowPromote. View Online...
